Ciprofloxacin Base

Ciprofloxacin Base, having the molecular formula C17H18FN3O3, is a synthetic antibiotic of the fluoroquinolone class. It is active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Ciprofloxacin functions by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an essential enzyme for DNA replication, thus stopping bacterial growth. It’s frequently used to treat infections such as urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and skin infections.
