Ketoprofen

Ketoprofen, with the molecular formula C16H14O3, is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain, inflammation, and fever. Belonging to the propionic acid class of NSAIDs, it functions by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase, thus reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins which mediate inflammation. Commonly prescribed for arthritis, menstrual pain, and other inflammatory conditions.
