Phenylbutazone

Phenylbutazone is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) primarily used in veterinary medicine to relieve inflammation and pain in horses. Originally developed for human use, it has largely been replaced by safer alternatives due to concerns about side effects such as bone marrow toxicity. It works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase, reducing the production of inflammatory mediators.
